At CES 2020 last night, in a surprising announcement, Alienware, known for their high-end gaming PC’s, revealed a new concept for a hybrid handheld console that seems to be very much inspired by the Nintendo Switch.

Dubbed the Concept UFO, this device can be played on the go or connected to a TV and monitor.  However, with this being an Alienware device, potentially it could blow the Switch out of the water in terms of gaming power.

The UFO will run on Windows 10, will have detachable controllers, a kickstand to prop it up, USB-C ports, an 8” 1200p display screen and it weighs about 2 pounds, which is roughly three times the weight of the Nintendo Switch.  The UFO which was on display at a booth had Mortal Kombat 11, F1 2019 and Rocket League as playable titles.

However, seeing as this is just a concept, we don’t have any information on prices or release dates.  We don’t even know if this concept idea will become reality at retail, but only time will tell.
