IDW Games has launched an all new board game based upon Batman: The Animated Series, which is the next core game entry in the Adventures Universal Game System (AUGS).  Batman: The Animated Series Adventures – Shadow of the Bat is playable for 1 to 4 players as you take on the roles of Gotham City’s heroes against some of the underworld’s most dangerous villains.  You can even add a 5th player to assume the villainous role in a 4v1 co-op mode.

The base pledge is $125 (about £97), but the contents are very meaty just in the core pledge alone, but then you’ll also unlock any additional rewards the more pledges this campaign generates and by the time its finished, you’ll likely have loads of additional content and items at no extra cost.

At the $125 Shadow of the Bat pledge, you’ll receive the base game which includes 40 miniatures, 24 co-op and competitive battles, 23 custom dice and 155 pieces of original art, not to mention all unlocked stretch goals.  You’ll also receive a Kickstarter exclusive Alfred Pennyworth mini.

The All-in-Bundle pledge at $225 (about £174) gets you all rewards in the $125 pledge, as well as additional expansions, story and character packs, a Duplicant Villain Pack and of course all unlocked stretch goals.  For me personally, I’ve gone for the Shadow of the Bat pledge.  I won’t list any of the unlocked stretch goals, because they are always evolving.

The campaign has already smashed its target goal and the campaign will end on March 13th, which is when your pledge money will be taken.  You can also add further funds once your pledge has been taken, should you wish to make any additional purchases.

The estimated release window for Batman: The Animated Series Adventures is December 2020 (at the time of writing) and you can check out all the campaign details here.
