Update 04/11/20: Quantic Dreams has announced that the Fahrenheit 15th Anniversary Edition will release for PlayStation 4 on December 15th, 2020.

Original Story 25/09/20: It’s quite mad to think that Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy for our cousins across the pond) released fifteen years ago, but it most certainly did.  It was the first interactive drama from developers Quantic Dream, who later went on to develop Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human.

At its time, Fahrenheit was a game that I played like no other, a game where your actions mattered and provided some truly tense moments. Perhaps not quite as tense as when I got stuck in the toilets during the opening moments of the game, as I frantically tried to work out the controls, which were very different to what I was used too.

The story of Fahrenheit takes place in New York City, where a string of brutal murders have impacted the lives of many with a serial killer still at large.  You play as Lucas Kane, a man believed to be the killer, but nothing is quite what it seems.  You also play from multiple perspectives, one of Lucas Kane, as well as police detectives, Carla Valenti and Tyler Miles, who are investing the brutal murders and are hunting down Lucas Kane.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Fahrenheit, in collaboration with Quantic Dreams, Meridiem Games are releasing the Fahrenheit: 15th Anniversary Edition on PS4 in Europe and Australia, to release this coming November.  The Fahrenheit: 15th Anniversary Edition will come with a physical copy of the game, packed in a “specially created case and sleeve”, a sticker set, a “high quality printed art book” and a special thank you letter from the developers at Quantic Dream.  It will have an RRP of £24.99/€29.99.
