Are Batman Arkham Origins Devs Teasing Announcement Ahead of #StateOfPlay?

Over the weekend, you very well may know that it was Batman Day! One of the finest celebratory days to honour our Caped Crusader.  Over the weekend, many Tweets and Facebook posts were made to celebrate Gotham’s finest hero, however, there was one particular tweet from Warner Bros. Montreal, the developers of the criminally underappreciated Batman: Arkham Origins that stood out from the crowd.

The tweet in question read “WBGamesMTL is proud to celebrate Batman’s 80th anniversary with rest of the world during #BatmanDay #Batman80”.  Now the tweet itself is nothing suspicious, but during a short video clip featuring the Bat Signal projected on to a side of a building, it featured quick flashes of images that can be noticed appearing multiple times.

Those quick flashes appear to be symbols related to Batman arch nemesis, Ra’s Al Ghul and the Court of Owls.  Now of course this could be a meaningless (yet cruel) tweet, but it would be odd to have such symbols appear in such a way from the Batman: Arkham Origins developers, especially with the PlayStation’s State of Play taking place tomorrow.

Could we see a new Batman game revealed by Warner Bros. Montreal at the State of Play or perhaps something is planned outside of the event?  Only time will tell.  But let us know your speculative thoughts across our social media channels.
