Sunbreak will take place after the events of the main Monster Hunter Rise campaign. Sunbreak will not only include new story missions, but also new characters, monsters, and a new Master Rank. The Sunbreak will take place in a new region called Citadel and will also be the home of the new ‘Elgado’ outpost hub.

Of course, we’ll also have three new monster Lords to take on. Such as the large-fanged Garangolm, an ice creature called Lunagaron and finally, the Elder Dragon Malzeno.
Make some space and raise some cash!
Sunbreak will bring a mandatory 13GB update to Monster Hunter Rise, regardless of whether you buy the expansion or not. The expansion is available to pre-order now on the eShop and Steam for £35.99/$39.99. There will also be a physical release for the Switch of Monster Hunter Rise which includes the Sunbreak expansion.
