Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be supported with its very own season pass for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.

The season pass will include three DLC packs in total.  The first major DLC pack which is releasing this Summer, will include a Cave of Trials Challenge mode, an additional Hard Mode and what is said to be a “new feature for the in-game map.”, whatever that means.  The second DLC pack set to release towards the end of this year and will include new challenges “that will let players enjoy a new dungeon and a new original story”, so it’s cool that Breath of the Wild’s story will be expanded upon, which should be interesting.

Additionally, available at launch, season pass owners will be gifted with three in-game treasure chests to help Link on his adventure which will appear in the Great Plateau area.  One of these treasure chests is said to contain a Nintendo Logo Shirt that Link can wear, which will be exclusive to the season pass.  The season pass will be available for £17.99/ €19.99/$19.99.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release for Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3rd.
