Golden Joystick 2015 Winners! The Witcher 3 wins 5!
On the weekend, the 2015 Golden Joystick Awards took place, which is the UK’s most prestigious videogame awards show. From established AAA’s to upcoming Indie titles, a vast variety of winners were in attendance. However, the star of the show had to be for developers CD Projekt RED, where their game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won no less than 5 awards (including Studio of the Year and Ultimate Game of the Year). Rockstar Games also won 4 awards for GTA V.
Notably the PS4 exclusive Bloodborne won Best Original Game, as well as Best PlayStation Game, with indie title Ori and the Blind Forest winning the top award for the Xbox. The Lifetime Achievement Award was also awarded deservedly to Nintendo icon Satoru Iwata, who sadly passed away this year.
