Halo Infinite ‘None Of Us Inside 343 Are Happy’ With Its Roadmap

If you’ve been following the progress (or their lack of), then you might know that a lot of fans are unhappy with the season 2 content for Halo Infinite.

Well, it seems that the developers at 343 Industries aren’t happy either, despite being the ones that are creating the content. It seems strange to say that people are unhappy with season 2, despite not yet being released.

However, much of the displeasure comes with the content road for season 2 of Halo Infinite. So, what’s the problem? Well, as well as much of the content seeming uninspired and to add, not much of it either. Season 2 will last for a whole six months!

Now, this wouldn’t be a problem if there were loads of weekly or bi-weekly content in season 2. Unfortunately, it looks bare-bones and seems to be stretched out over the six months. Season 2 will begin on May 3^rd and ends on November 7^th.

That being said, during a recent community livestream, the head of creative at 343 Industries, Joseph Staten made a quite shocking admission over the displeasure of season 2. It might not carry much weight being anyone else, but this is quite the statement coming directly from a developer working on the game.

“Well one thing to make really clear, none of us inside of 343 looks at this roadmap and are happy with it,” said Staten. “All of us want to be doing things faster, to deliver more content. You know, we still have this desire to get into a rhythm, a healthy rhythm, to where we can ship a season every three months.”

 

It does make you think, is someone higher up pushing for content with little direction regardless of its quality or quantity? After all, if the devs were unhappy, surely, they wouldn’t release season 2 in such a state.
