Microsoft has announced that their next-gen Xbox Series X console will release this coming November.  While we still don’t have an exact date as of yet, at least we know the month in which it will release.

However, with the recent news that Halo: Infinite won’t be a launch title (which is probably for the best), the Xbox Series X will launch without any first-party exclusive titles, which is a little strange to say the least.  As far as I can remember, there have always been exclusive launch titles with just about any new console launch, something to sweeten the temptation to lore in sales.

So instead, Microsoft will be relying on third-party titles to entice the customer and they have promised to have over 100 optimised games for the Xbox Series X by the end of 2020, that number will no doubt double mid-way into 2021 (hopefully), by which time I hope that there will be plenty of quality first-party games to choose from.

We’d love to know what you think about the prospects of success for the Xbox Series X at launch.  Do you think Microsoft should have delayed the console, even with the PS5 also releasing his year?  Let us know across our social media channels.
