Thanks to an interview with GQ Magazine, Horizon Forbidden West still looks set to release this year.

SIE President and CEO, Jim Ryan was speaking in an interview and he said that Sony is “feeling pretty good” on the prospect of Horizon Forbidden West from Guerrilla Games maintaining its 2021 release window.

Yeah, we’re feeling pretty good about Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West. And, you know, there are two approaches to this: you can either hold the date and put out the game irrespective of quality or you can ship it when it’s right.

We have always taken the latter approach. There have been some fairly high-profile instances of publishers trying the former approach.

Judging from the words of Jim Ryan, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal will only release when they’re ready, and I’d hope for nothing less.

However I find it odd that despite bringing up several PlayStation exclusive titles, the next God of War wasn’t mentioned.

As we recently found out with Gran Turismo 7, could the next God of War also release in 2022?  While that would suck, I’d only want my favourite games to release when they’re ready.
