God of War Ragnarok Release Reportedly Delayed
Apparently, the rumours of the God of War Ragnarok release date announcement this month were true.
According to reports, the PS4 and PS5 release date for God of War Ragnarok was supposed to be announced yesterday. However, Santa Monica decided to delay that announcement. I’m sure they had good reason, so waiting for a little longer will do us no harm.
Previously, Twitter leaker “The Snitch” teased that the release date would be announced on June 30th. Yet, reports of the release date being delayed are courtesy of respected journalists, Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson.
On God of War Ragnarok rumors: as of very recently, there was indeed a release date announcement planned for Thursday, June 30, per people familiar. Recent tweets from Cory Barlog suggest that is no longer happening. Still, as far as I know the game has not been delayed again.

Furthermore, while there was apparently no new gameplay to be shown, there were going to be two versions of Collector Editions revealed. According to Henderson, a more expensive Collector’s Edition would include a 1:1 replica of the Mjolnir Hammer along with other collectable pieces. While a cheaper “Jotnar Edition” would include the hammer and fewer extras.
While it’s disappointing to have the release date delayed, I trust in Santa Monica only making announcements and releasing the game when it’s ready. I have no doubt that God of War Ragnarok will be well worth the wait.
God of War Ragnarok will be released for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
