Have you ever wondered what a 6 year old game would look like, up-scaled to 4k, with very little to no technical improvements? If so, then you have to wonder no more as L.A. Noire‘s brand new trailer, showcases the title in its complete 4K glory, or rather its lack. As at the current time, current gen version of L.A. Noire, looks more like a simple port than a fully-fledged remaster.

No one should judge a title by its trailer, but the one minute long clip, which was published just last night by Rockstar Games, is – at least by today’s standards – rather underwhelming. And that’s because it looks just like an up-scaled port of the last gen’s version. Surely enough, Rockstar has changed much more than just the resolution, just like they did with Grand Theft Auto V, but the changes – even if there are any – are missing from the aforementioned trailer.

Before one can pass final judgement and decide whether the current gen version of L.A. Noire is just a simple port, or a complete remaster, he/she will have to wait until the 14th of November. As the title at hand is set to make its return on that particular day on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. And both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X will run the game in a native 4K resolution.

L.A. Noire can be pre-ordered right now, and it will only cost you £34.99 digitally, and £27.99 in its physical form. And while the price point is suggesting that this version of L.A. Noire may be just a simple upscaled port – it is still more than worth it. As for that price you are getting a fully functional version of L.A. Noire, devoid of any technical issues, and one which is running at a stable 1080p or 4K resolution, depending on your platform of choice.
