A lot of new Pokémon information has been revealed since the release of the Pokémon ORAS demo in the US. One of the first tidbits revealed was the announcement of Mega Latios and Mega Latias, along with the ability to use them to fly across Hoenn. Utilising the Eon Flute, received during an in-game event with Steven Stone and the half of the Eon Duo that is available in your version of the game (Latios for Alpha Sapphire and Latias for Omega Ruby players), players are able to soar through the skies. While soaring through the skies, you can come across “Mirage Spots” where you can discover Legendary Pokémon from the previous games – between Pokémon X and Y, and Pokémon ORAS, all Legendary Pokémon can be found.

To obtain Latias and Latios, the player will receive an Eon Ticket giving you access to Hoenn’s Southern Island – much like the Victini event in Black and White, the ticket will be a special distribution which will be announced later on in the year.

To add on to the ever increasing list of Mega Evolutions, another couple have been announced – Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill. Mega Pidgeot will gain an increase in Special Attack and Speed. The Mega Evolution will have the ability ‘No Guard’ which will allow any move to hit regardless of accuracy. Mega Beedrill gains an increase in Attack and the Adaptability Ability, which raises the power of its moves of the same type from the standard 150% to 200%.

PokéNav Plus is the new tool designed to help all players with their journey through Hoenn. It contains the DexNav to help find hidden or specific types of Pokémon in tall grass, the AreaNav that will give players information about the region and the BuzzNav for Hoenn’s news and players that you have passed. The PlayNav function adds the Player Search System, Pokémon-Amie and Super Training found in Pokémon X and Y.
