Sonic the Hedgehog Rolls His Way into Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD
It has been announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will roll his way into Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD when it releases later this month. Which if you think about it, Sonic makes for a quite a great fit in this monkey in a ball, puzzle simulator.
However, you won’t be able to play as the famous blue hedgehog from the get-go, as he will be an unlockable character, so it’s nice to see that this game is featuring some old-school unlockables, rather then it being paid DLC.
Naturally, Sonic will be faster than his monkey companions, so if you master his skills and movements, he could be quite a handy playable character if you aim to have the best times possible for each challenging stage. Additionally, Sonic will not also come with his iconic sound effects, but when you play as the blue hedgehog, the bananas that you collect from each stage, will be turned into gold rings.
Sonic will only be one of a number of unlockable characters in the game, which also includes bonus costumes too. You can get a glimpse of Sonic’s first ever appearance in this series via the new gameplay trailer below. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will release this month on October 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
