Update: All 20 Games Confirmed for PlayStation Classic Mini Console

Update 29/10/18: When the PlayStation Classic was announced last month, we only knew of 5 of the 20 games that will be included, however Sony has now announced the remaining 15 games that will be pre-installed on the mini console.  The updated list includes the likes of Resident Evil Director’s Cut, the original Grand Theft Auto, Destruction Derby, Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid and more.

You can check out the full list of games below, as well as the brand new trailer highlighting the said titles.  Personally, I would have preferred Resident Evil 3: Nemesis over Resident Evil: Directors Cut, and I’m a bit gutted that we have no Silent Hill, Tomb Raider or Gran Turismo.  But hey, that’s just my opinion, so be sure to let us know what you make of the confirmed 20 games.

The PlayStation Classic Console will release on December 3rd this year.

Original Story 19/09/18: Back in May, it was revealed that the powers that be at Sony had discussed the possibility of releasing a PlayStation Classic console and now that prospect has come to reality, as the mini console has been officially announced by Sony.

Releasing this year on December 3rd with an RRP of £89.99/€99.99/$99.99 (US)/$129.99 (CAD), the classic console will come with 20 pre-installed games.  While we don’t know the full list of the 20 games included as Sony are keeping those full details under-wraps at the moment, we do know that it will at least include Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash!, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms.  Hopefully it will include a Gran Turismo, and I know it’s unlikely due to age ratings, but I would love to see a Resident Evil and a Silent Hill thrown in too, perhaps even a Tomb Raider.

The PlayStation Classic console will be roughly 45% smaller than the original console, will put out a 720p and 480p resolution, as well as having both HDMI and USB micro ports.  In terms of what’s in the box to go along with the mini console will be two controllers, a HDMI and USB micro cable, as well as printed document stuff.  Like the mini Nintendo consoles, there won’t be a USB AC adapter included, so you’ll need to pick up one of those separately if you want to power the console with the USB provided to the mains.
