As a kid, the likes of Scalextric was always a great treat to play with. It was a treat because setting it up was a faff and I normally had to convince an unwilling adult that what they really want to do with their time is hold down a button to make a car go “vroom”. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a game that captured the fun of Scalextric and other slot-car games without having to mess about with setting up the tracks?

WELL YOU’RE IN LUCK. I mean, you probably saw that coming due to the heading of this news piece, but that doesn’t make the news of Tiny Trax any less exciting. Created by Futurlab, the team behind the lovely Velocity 2X, Tiny Trax will see gamers zipping up walls, going underwater and all the things you imagined when you were a child. The fact it is on PlayStation VR makes it even more intriguing a prospect.

There are 12 tracks, six cars and the ability to play against AI or four friends online in single races or tournaments. There will also be leaderboards to post high scores. A release date hasn’t been announced yet but you can watch a trailer for the game below and read more about it over on PlayStation Blog.
