Netflix Resident Evil Live-Action Series Arrives This July
Netflix has revealed that its Resident Evil live-action series will be arriving this July. Netflix has also released new poster images too.
This Resident Evil series will not be canon, so don’t expect it to be overly accurate in terms of lore. Though hopefully, we can expect more than a few references. Premiering on July 14th, 2022, the first season will have eight episodes with each running for about an hour.

The story will centre around 14-year old Albert Wesker’s daughters, Jade and Billie. Albert Wesker will be played by Lance Reddick of John Wick and Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West. To be honest, I am very sceptical of this series. But I will be going in with no expectations and with an open mind as possible.
Below is the synopsis for the Resident Evil series from Netflix:
In the first timeline, 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker are moved to New Raccoon City. A manufactured, corporate town, forced on them right as adolescence is in full swing. But the more time they spend there, the more they come to realise that the town is more than it seems and their father may be concealing dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world.
Cut to the second timeline, well over a decade into the future: there are less than fifteen million people left on Earth. And more than six billion monsters — people and animals infected with the T-virus. Jade, now thirty, struggles to survive in this New World, while the secrets from her past — about her sister, her father and herself — continue to haunt her.
