dead rising 3

Dead Rising 3 seems to be slightly different from the previous 2 versions of the game. Instead of being confined to a mall or a casino, it seems we have a full neighborhood to play with! The third rendition of Dead Rising sees the introduction of the newest main character, Nick Ramos. Dead Rising 3 will be set 3 days after the main outbreak, so as you can imagine, the whole town is going to be covered in zombies, dead bodies and plenty of ruin for us to climb all over.

In the demo we see the main character trying to get back to the safe zone. The whole neighborhood will apparently have no load times. Making a return is the ability to create new weapons to help you in certain situations. However, you can make these weapons anywhere. No need to make your way back to the safe zones to make these weapons now.

A nice new feature to the Dead Rising series is the ability to distract zombies with weapons and items. In the demo we were shown the main character using a flare gun to distract an army full of the undead so he could try to escape the undead masses.

In the previous Dead Rising games we were used to running round everywhere with the odd appearance of a car or motorbike for the larger areas. However, now that we are in a town cars will be the best way to make your way around this vast neighborhood but the zombies still pose a threat. We are shown that zombies can jump onto the car to break the windows and try to drag you out. It does seem more like you are trying to survive more than in the previous games.

Using smartglass you have the ability to cal for help to aid you in your missions. The demo shown Nick using smartglass to call down an artillery strike to clear the way to the safe zone. I did happen to notice the lack of a HUD during that demo. All that was seemingly shown was the weapon that you had in your hand at the time, and whenever you used the ability to create weapons. Does this mean that they are using a different way to show what health is remaining?

They ended the demo by announcing the Dead Rising 3 will be exclusive to Xbox one!!
