In what is a very surprising move by Niantic, three legendary Pokémon have been released into the wild for Pokémon Go.  In every other instance, you can only acquire legendary Pokémon via a Raid battle (other than Research Progress), so the fact that you can now catch the recently released three legendary in such a way, is the first time its ever happened for the game.

The three legendary Pokémon are from the Sinnoh region with Azelf the “The Being of Willpower”, Mesprit “The Being of Emotion” and Uxie the “The Being of Knowledge”.  However, you won’t simply catch them by firing up the mobile game and catching them in your house, unless you’re Alan Wake that is.  Instead these legendary’s will only spawn near lakes, perhaps also ponds, streams, waterways and coastlines.  Even then, you’re not guaranteed to see them spawn as their rareness is compared to the likes of Unown.

So if you’re going out on the hunt for these legendary’s, keep a look out for these silhouettes and for added info, above is an image of Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie once revealed.

Oh and before you go, from now until May 2nd, Shiny Diglett’s will be appearing in the wild and Groudon will be available via legendary Raids.
