Bethesda has delayed both the highly anticipated Starfield as well as Redfall until 2023.

Announced in 2018, Starfield is Bethesda’s next RPG, and it was supposed to launch on November 11th this year. However, it has now been pushed back to the first half of 2023.

Redfall is developed by Dishonored and Deathloop team, Arkane Studios. This multiplayer shooter has also been delayed until the first half of 2023.

We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023,” announced Bethesda. “The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.

We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating.

We can’t wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon. Thank you for your support.

To be honest, I haven’t given Redfall much thought. However, as we’re still yet to see actual gameplay for Starfield, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by its delay. That said, I’d much prefer the game release when it’s ready and not in a rushed state.

Are you disappointed by the delays? Let us know across our social media channels. Starfield and Redfall will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
