Red Dead Online has just received a big update which adds a new Naturalist (not naturist) role that will see you take on a new job of hunting down and detailing some of the Legendary animals that populate this rich and vibrant wild west world.  Better still, the update also adds some brand new Legendary animals too.

I’ve not really ventured much into the world of Red Dead Online, but this new Naturalist Role certainly peaks my interest and I certainly find it better to learn about the animals, rather than having to kill them, as we did in the original Red Dead Redemption.

The Naturalist Role will have you “tracking, studying and hunting animals”  The update will also add two new naturalist related stores, two new free-roam events, a new temporary campfire, a Gypsy Cob horse, as well as new clothes, accessories, weapons and more.

There is also a new Red Dead Online Outlaw Pass, which is now in its third season.  The latest Outlaw Pass will cost you 40 Gold Bars, but with enough dedication, it is possible to earn all this premium currency back.  The Outlaw Pass will reward players with additional XP, various boosts, as well as unique clothing, accessories, weapon finishes and so forth.  The update will also fix a number of issues such as matchmaking, adding a weapon locker for players from Chapter 2, a number of stability fixes and more.

Will you be venturing into the world of Red Dead Online as the Naturalist?  Let us know across our social media channels.  You can also read our review of Red Dead Redemption 2 here.
