Activision and Infinity Ward have released the gameplay reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This version of MW2 is the sequel to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) reboot and fans of the original will be treated to doses of nostalgia in the new trailer.

That being said, as with the 2019 reboot, there will be plenty of new surprises in this sequel that will keep returning fans on their toes. The new iteration of Warzone was also confirmed in a Call of Duty blog post.

“October 28 marks a new beginning for Call of Duty, starting with the release of Modern Warfare II. Soon after, a wholly new Warzone will launch as an extension of the Modern Warfare II universe. With it comes new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together.”

At the end of the trailer, we were also informed that pre-orders will grant us early access to the beta. Speaking of which, this beta will be available on PlayStation before other formats.

Furthermore, if you wanted to see more of Modern Warfare 2, there will be another reveal at the Summer Game Fest later tonight.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will release on October 28th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
