At the State of Play, this week, Capcom announced the co-op multiplayer game, Exoprimal. Sadly, however, it’s not Dino Crisis.

When the reveal trailer first rolled the Exosuits reminded me of Anthem and for a split second, I thought Capcom had acquired the rights (for some reason). Then I saw a female character with red hair resembling Regina from Dino Crisis. Sadly, it was just a Regina clone. Shame on you Capcom.

However, when the trailer kicked into gear, to be fair, Exoprimal looks like it could be a fun co-op game. That’s as long as it can avoid the live-service pitfalls. Exoprimal with feature 5v5 matches taking on waves of dinosaurs bombarding the planet piling through portals. There will also be an opposing team trying to achieve objectives and to finish the mission before you.

Set in the year 2040, Exoprimal will also feature a story with the plot unravelling as you progress through the online campaign. Character classes will also play a role such as Deadeye (assault), Zephyr (melee), Roadblock (tank) and Witchdoctor (support).

Exoprimal will release in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. What are your thoughts on Exoprimal? Let us know across our social media channels.
