Capcom has confirmed that you will be able to transfer your saves over to the new-gen ports of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes, as well as Resident Evil 7.
Earlier in the month, Capcom announced that new-gen ports of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those that already owned the last-gen versions, would get the upgrades for free. Furthermore, PC players will also get the free upgrade via an update.
We’re happy to confirm that save data from the original PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of these games will carry over to their respective upgraded versions. DLC that comes with Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will transfer over, as well! https://t.co/FVVTPuHBQs
The new-gen ports will include improved visuals, ray-tracing, faster loading times and more. However, fans were wondering if we would be able to transfer our saves from the last-gen to the new-gen ports.
Thankfully, Capcom has confirmed that we will be able to do just that. The save transfer will also include the Resident Evil 7 DLC. Hopefully, the same will be the case for Resident Evil 2s DLC.

However, we’ve still not heard any news on Re:Verse, though I think most of us are assuming it to be dead and would much prefer remasters of Outbreak.
