CD Projekt Red has announced that the original Witcher game is getting a remake. Happy days!
CDPR will be collaborating with Fools Theory “a collective of AAA veteran” developers, that specialise in role-playing games. The Witcher will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. The Fools Theory team consists of members that have previously helped develop The Witcher 2 as well as The Witcher 3.
We’re thrilled to reveal that, together with @Fools_Theory, we’re working on remaking The Witcher using Unreal Engine 5 (codename: Canis Majoris)!

In an era with so many remakes, I think the original Witcher is a worthy candidate. The original game was released for PC only in 2007 and it’s not aged all that well.
