While we won’t be getting a new game in the criminally underrated Child of Light, at least it’s making some kind of comeback in the critically acclaimed, gothic, side-scrolling action RPG. Though it still would be nice to get a sequel or a snazzy remaster.
Best of all, the Child of Light crossover is totally free to those that own Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night via a free patch which is available right now.
“After saving Lemuria on her own adventure, Aurora finds her journey home cut short when she awakens in a land full of demons. Her only hope of returning to her friends involves breaking Hellhold’s curse in a new storyline complete with poetic, rhyming cutscenes and dialogue inspired by Child of Light.
Witness Bloodstained’s events from a new perspective by choosing Aurora from the Main Menu. The Child of Light has her own distinct move-set and abilities, making this romp through the castle feel fresh.”
The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night/Child of Light crossover is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available for the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
