Cyberpunk 2077 next major update 1.7 could arrive soon, say fans

The next major update for Cyberpunk 2077, update 1.77 could be arriving soon, say fans.
As reported by Push Square (via Reddit), data on SteamDB suggests that update 1.7 may be imminent. The reason that fans believe that the next major update is near, is due to a number of edits on the game’s changelist.
It is believed that when edits are made to a changelist, it can sometimes mean that a new update is on the way. The most recent edits were made this week. While we can only speculate what the next major update will bring, it’s safe to assume that it will at least implement new gameplay additions and quality-of-life improvements.
However, what we do know for sure is that update 1.7 will improve the dubious police system and rework some of the combat mechanics as well as make changes to Cyberware.
When the update arrives, we’ll update this post. Update 1.7 is also said to prepare for the first and only expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty.
