Jaw Drop, a UK based indie developer has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for a dinosaur survival horror game, that will focus on both multiplayer team-play, as well as for solo players.  Looking at the trailer and screenshots, it certainly looks like the game will have plenty of horror, tension and action.  It kind of reminds me of what might happen in John Hammond’s lab, if they were to mix the DNA of Jurassic Park and Left 4 Dead, you would get Deathground.

At the time of writing, Jaw Drop are about just under half-way of meeting their target of £80k, with 25 days left to run on the campaign.  Deathground is said to feature “unpredictable” dinosaur A.I that will put you under pressure by hunting you down as you try to escape the arena.  The game also looks to take inspiration from the likes of Alien: Isolation, not only with the enemy A.I, but also by equipping the player with a motion tracker.

According to the Kickstarter page, Deathground aims to release September of 2021, with a Steam Early Access launch shortly prior to its release.  Personally, I think the game looks awesome; it’s just a shame that this Kickstarter campaign doesn’t include a console release; otherwise I’d be backing this straight away.

However, if you’re a PC player and Deathground might be of interest, you can check out its Kickstarter campaign here.  You can also watch its trailer below, as well as some screenshots above.  Finally be sure to let us know what you think of Deathground across our social media channels.
