Developer Interview: Chris Smith Game Director on #GRID #Codemasters #LikeNoOther

This week we got an opportunity to visit the Codemasters HQ to play an early build of GRID, which is set to release later this year.  Considering it was an early build, I left with quite good impressions, especially with the games version of a nemesis system, where you can create organic rivalries with other AI drivers during the race.

Some of the AI drivers will have different tolerance levels than others, but once you’ve got under their skin, whether it’s on purpose or not, they will use underhand tactics to stop you from beating them.  You can even end up with your AI team-mate being your nemesis!  Keep a look out for our captured gameplay footage of our time with GRID across our channels.

After sampling GRID, we then got a chance to sit down and chat with the Game Director of GRID, Chris Smith.  He told us more about the nemesis system, car tuning, the fine balance between SIM and Arcade racing and more.  I hope you enjoy the interview with Chris, because he is an awesome due.  Also after watching the video, please consider to Like and Subscribe, thanks for watching.

GRID will release on October 11th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then for Google Stadia at a later date.  A port of GRID Autosport is also coming to the Nintendo Switch this summer.
