Developers what it takes to update the USG Ishimura in Dead Space remake

Motive Studio developers have spoken about what it takes to update the iconic and eerie USG Ishimura in the Dead Space remake.

In the third part of the “Inside Dead Space” blog series, associate Art Director Roy Tuazon discusses: “the iconic setting of the original ship and how important it was to treat the USG Ishimura itself as one of the essential characters of the game.”

We also learn about the challenges faced when it comes to: “incorporating elements from the wider Dead Space universe into the Ishimura in the forms of advertisements, posters, etc. as well as streamlining content to match the player’s progress.”
