DOOM Eternal Delayed Until 2020, but You Will Get DOOM 64 as a Pre-Order Bonus

Bethesda and ID Software has announced that DOOM Eternal will be delayed until March 20th, 2020, it was set to release next month for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch.  The reasons for the delay are the usual, to help ensure that the game is the best it can be and to receive some extra polish.

As a quite impatient person and as a big DOOM fan, naturally I am disappointed, but I also want this game to be the best and if that means waiting a few extra months, then so be it.  However, the Nintendo Switch version will now release after its other console counterparts, but we won’t know of that release date until later.  Additionally, the Invasion mode which allows players to invade another players campaign as a demon, will not launch alongside the game, but will instead be post-launch via a free update.

However, there is some good news, because DOOM 64 will now be a pre-order bonus for DOOM Eternal for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and will also release on March 20th, 2020.
