#E32018 Fallout 76 Gameplay and Details, Collector’s Edition Announced

Finally we got to see a gameplay trailer for Fallout 76 with the confirmation that it is an online game only, however, you can roam the wastelands on your own if you wish, but you will surely benefit more roaming with friends.  It will also have dedicated online servers.

Fallout 76 will have survival elements, with Bethesda head chief Todd Howard stating the survival element with be more “softcore survival” rather than “hardcore survival”. it will have a proper story set 300 years before the events of Fallout 4 during the early days of the nuclear apocalypse.

Taking inspiration from Fallout 4, you will have a focus on building settlements to home you and your comrades, in which you can build a settlement just about anywhere you please.  The wasteland is said to be 4x bigger than that of Fallout 4 with the world being broken up into six different districts.  Each district will have unique environments, their own hazards, dangers, secrets and rewards.  There are also various nuclear sites on the map and players can seize control of them, and nuke the crap out of each other if they wish.

Personally, I was a little concerned with Fallout 76 when it was revealed week or two back, especially with the rumours of a Battle Royale mode floating about, but if I’m being honest, I think the concept sounds interesting and the game looks quite gorgeous too.

Fallout 76 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 14th this year and there are plans to have a beta before it releases, so we’ll keep you updated when we hear more on that.

Finally Fallout 76 will have a Collector’s Edition called the Power Armour Edition which comes with a wearable T-51B Amour Helmet (with lights, sounds and voice changer), a Canvas West Tek Duffel Bag, a pack of little plastic old school figure things, bonus DLC, a glow in the dark map and a steelbook case.  The Fallout 76 Power Armour Edition has an RRP of £174.99 in the UK.

Oh and before we go, Fallout Shelter is now available to download for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.  Previously released on mobile and PC, this free-to-play game is a fun title worth your consideration, especially if you own a Nintendo Switch.  Also, Fallout 4 is now included in the Xbox Game Pass.
