EA Sports has released a new gameplay trailer for FIFA 22 which goes into quite some depth for this year’s Ultimate Team.

Over the years FIFA Ultimate Team has been under a lot of scrutiny due to its monetisation methods, the likelihood of acquiring the best players from packs, and the grind to generate the best dream team possible. However, it seems that EA Sports is trying to make FUT more accessible for all this year.

While EA Sports didn’t go into detail in terms of the ratio of acquiring the best players from packs, FIFA players it seems will be able to acquire special players by taking part in FUT events, and all skill levels will be accommodated.

For example, Divisions Rivals will use a checkpoint system. When you win games, you will climb up the ranks of Division Rivals by earning points win, lose or draw. However, thanks to the checkpoint system you won’t drop straight to the bottom if you go on a losing streak or are inactive from the game.

As always, by taking part in Division Rivals you will earn weekly rewards based upon your activity and progress during that week. However, everyone’s rank will semi-reset for each six-week season. But your previous rank will be taken into consideration with each reset. So, whether you play FUT Division Rivals every day or once a week, all players will earn rewards.

There will also be a new Elite Division, which will feature the best FIFA players in the world. So, that rules me out! FUT Champions will also be making a return. By playing Division Rivals, if you earn enough points, you will be able to enter a Play-Off tournament for special rewards. Best of all, you can take part in the Play-Off event whenever you choose by activating your earned token.

EA Sports also seem to be going out, even more, this year in terms of customisation. You’ll be able to kit out your very own FUT stadium with VIP areas, banners, crowds, and much more. You will be able to earn loads of cosmetic items for your stadium, team kits, Volta Football, and so forth.

FIFA 22 will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia on October 1st.
