SEGA has not only announced the release date for Football Manager 2021 for PC and Mac, but they have also announced that for the first time since 2007, the Football Manager series is coming back to the Xbox consoles this year.  Firstly, as always, Football Manager 2021 will release for PC and Mac on November 21st and will offer fans a 10% discount (from a SEGA approved digital retailer), and will be available via both Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as offering early access, expected to launch about two weeks prior to the full game.

The Xbox version of FM21 is expecting to release before the end of the year and has been tailored and optimised to be used with the Xbox controller.  It will release for Xbox One, as well as the next-gen Xbox Series X/S consoles.  This version of the game will be based upon Football Manager Touch, which is also available on PC, but its mainly used for versions ported to mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch.  Speaking as someone that has put many hours into the Switch version, I have no reason to doubt that this game should work great on the Xbox family of consoles.

Once purchased for the Xbox, it will work across all the family of consoles, so you’ll have no need to buy it multiple times.  Football Manager Touch 2021 will release for the Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and android devices.  Oh and if you’re wondering why there is no release on PlayStation consoles, rumour has it that Sony did not send Sports Interactive dev kits, which is why you won’t be seeing it on PS4 or PS5 anytime soon.
