Halo Infinite Free To Play Multiplayer Is Out Now
During the Xbox 20th anniversary celebrations, the free-to-play Halo Infinite multiplayer was launched. Well, kind of.
We all knew that Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free to all, regardless of whether you buy the main game or not. However, it has launched as a beta. I would imagine it’s launched as a beta just in case it goes tits up and 343 Industries can use the ‘beta card’.
In honor of Halo’s 20th anniversary, your Spartan journey officially begins today. Dive into Season 1 of #HaloInfinite, in the multiplayer beta starting today on Xbox and PC!

Nonetheless, it at least gives the F2P Halo Infinite multiplayer a safety cushion just in case it’s a troubled launch. Furthermore, the beta launch also kicks off the first season of content. The full launch will begin when the Halo Infinite campaign arrives on December 8th.
The first season will last longer than expected, until May 2022. The reason being is that 343 Industries say it’s to “ensure season 2 meets our high-quality bar and so we can finish development for season 2 in a healthy and sustainable way for our team.”
Season 1: Heroes of Reach officially begins today. All of your Battle Pass progression, Spartan customization, and shop purchases will carry over from the beta to the full release of #HaloInfinite.

The launch of season one will be the Season 1 Battle Pass. There will be a free battle pass, as well as a premium pass with extra content as well as fast-track unlocking. The free battle pass will expire on December 8th. However, the premium battle pass will not expire.
According to 343 Industries: “Halo Infinite’s first season, “Heroes of Reach”, begins today and runs through May 2, 2022. Infinite’s Battle Pass offers free and premium tracks accounting for more than 100 unlockable items.
“If you purchase a Halo Infinite Premium Battle Pass, it will not expire – so if you jump in later in the season or can’t complete it by May, no worries – you’ll be able to progress on your own terms. Start playing today and begin building your own personal Spartan by unlocking additional armour pieces, weapon charms, visors, coatings, emblems, Armor FX, and more!”
As a bonus, if you log into the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta before November 22nd, you’ll get some free DLC!
