During a dedicated State of Play event last night, we were treated to 15 minutes of glorious gameplay for Hogwarts Legacy.

Developed by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy looks like the Harry Potter game we’ve always dreamed of. For starters, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and I can’t wait to explore Hogwarts like never before as well as its surrounding areas.

Set in the late 1800’s years before Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter, in Hogwarts Legacy we are a late starter to the school of wizardry. We get to choose one of the four iconic classes, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.#

Hogwarts Legacy looks to be a very deep RPG adventure, where we not only get to use our spells, but we also get to create our own too. We’ll get to create and customise our wizard or witch, level them up, partake in story and side-quests, solve puzzles, interact with NPCs, form relationships and much more.

Below you can find a new trailer as well as the full Hogwarts Legacy presentation from the State of Play. However, you can watch an awesome behind-the-scenes video here which reveals that the Invisibility Cloak will feature in the game.

Surprisingly, Hogwarts Legacy will also be released for the Nintendo Switch. Before now it was assumed that it would be released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. However, I would imagine that the Switch game will either be a cloud version or a less advanced port. Nonetheless, it’s still fantastic that it’s coming to the Switch.

Hogwarts Legacy will release near Christmas this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Are you looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy? Let us know across our social media channels.
