“We’ve specifically isolated these effects to the right side of the controller to let the DualSense become an extension of the wand you hold in the game,” said community manager, Chandler Wood. “And when you deflect a spell with Protego, you’ll feel the sizzling of the magic being reflected and absorbed by the Shield Charm.”
However, the DualSense features will not just be reserved for spells, as you’ll feel the terrain, the process of crafting spells, flying on your broomstick and much more.
The PS Blog post also confirms that Hogwarts Legacy will feature the options of both Fidelity and Performance mods. As expected, Fidelity will favour visuals and resolution, while Performance will prioritise the framerate.
No release date has been revealed for Hogwarts Legacy, but it will release at the end of 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
