Huge Final Fantasy news teased this year

Final Fantasy veteran developer Yoshinori Kitase has teased huge news for the popular RPG series this year.
We already know that the second part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake arrives late this year with Rebirth. That’s assuming it doesn’t get pushed back into 2024. What’s more, Final Fantasy 16 also arrives for PS5 on June 22nd.
However, it seems that there could be even more Final Fantasy news in 2023. In a Final Fantasy blog post, Kitase teased that a “big announcement” is on the way. Furthermore, the FF7 Rebirth producer added: “Rest assured we’re working hard to make sure 2023 is the most exciting year yet”.
At this time we can only speculate what the Final Fantasy-related news could be. Perhaps we might get a new remake or remaster, perhaps even another brand-new story? Only time will tell.
