Like a Dragon: Ishin playable demo is out now!
SEGA and RGG Studio have released a playable demo for Like a Dragon: Ishin and it’s available now.
Like a Dragon: Ishin is a remake of Yakuza: Ishin from 2014 that was only ever released in Japan. Almost nine years to the day, I wrote an article on this Japanese exclusive on the assumption that we’ll never get a local release.
Can’t wait to step into the shoes of Sakamoto Ryoma?

Alas, here we are and Like a Dragon: Ishin is finally playable in the west and it’s glorious. I’ve got my hands on a review code, however, with a bout of the flu, my review is going to be delayed. That being said, I’ve played enough of the game to say it’s been well worth the wait.
The playable demo is in two parts and it highlights the high-octane action and combat of Ishin. In the demo, players will “face off against enemies at Kiyomizu Temple, and then go toe to toe with three armoured warriors.”
What’s more, as an added bonus, if you sign up for the SEGA Newsletter, you will receive the Exclusive Bonechewer Katana and Waterdrop Katana. However, that DLC must be claimed by 20th March.
Like a Dragon: Ishin is out now for those that pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition or the 20th of February for the standard edition. This long-awaited remake is available for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
