Luis Suárez revealed as PES 2018 Cover Star and Topps Card partnership announced
Luis Suárez has been announced as the cover star for the European release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. It’s no surprise that PES 2018 will feature a FC Barcelona star, as we’ve had Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr in the past, so now it’s the turn of the gnashing, and at times verbally abusive Uruguayan football star.
While chewing on some meat (thankfully not of the human variety), Luis Suárez announced his delight on being the European cover star for PES 2018:
I’m a big fan of PES, so it’s a real honour for me to be on this year’s cover,” commented Suárez while picking out meat from his teeth. “Every year this game gets better and better and the work put into making PES 2018 really shows. I can’t believe how real, and lifelike I look in this year’s game. It’s simply amazing.
The cover star announcement was also revealed alongside the content details of a Legendary Edition for PES 2018 (for PS4 and Xbox One) which includes a steelbook case, PES Legend (Agent for MyClub), 1,000 MyClub Coins (worth £8) and Usain Bolt (yes, you read that correctly) to also be used in MyClub.
In addition to the cover star and Legendary announcement, Konami has announced a partnership with Topps Trading Cards. The deal will see limited edition UEFA Champions League Match Attax Trading Cards for the upcoming 2017-18 tournament, which will be given away with copies of PES 2018. The cards will be gifted inside copies of the physical game for a limited time from the launch of PES 2018.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will release for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One from September 12th.
