“I’m happy to confirm we’ve started work on an all-new Mafia project! While it’s a few years away and we can’t share anything more right now, we’re really excited to keep working on this beloved franchise and to entertain our players with new stories.”
Rumours of Mafia 4 being on the way were first making the rounds back in May 2022, so it’s nice that we now have official confirmation.
Previous rumours claimed that Mafia 4 will be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and it will be a prequel to the entire series set in Sicily. Hopefully, 2K and/or Hangar 13 will release official details soon. Do you need to get caught up on the Mafia series? Then fear not, because you can read my review of the Mafia trilogy here.
