It seems that the recently announced Mortal Kombat 1 might Fatality your hard drive space.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be a reboot for the series, while perhaps still being linked loosely to MK11. The reveal trailer was ridiculously gory and certainly sets the tone for the highly anticipated fighter.

In the modern age of gaming, we’re no strangers to the biggest AAA games taking up a large portion of our hard drive space, and it looks like Mortal Kombat 1 will be no exception.

As spotted by TheGamer, according to the MK1 Steam page, the game will take up at least 100GB of storage, and that’s without any updates and DLC. Of course, come release, the storage requirement might be better optimised, but whether you game on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, it might be safe to assume that you will need to reserve at least 100GB.

Mortal Kombat 1 is also coming out on Nintendo Switch, but I would imagine its hard drive storage will be nowhere near its counterparts.

Oh, before we go, we’re going to be treated to the first gameplay reveal of Mortal Kombat 1 during Summer Game Fest next month. Happy days!

At the time of writing, Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release on 19 September 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
