Red Dead Redemption 2 just had its highest player count ever

Red Dead Redemption 2 just had its highest player count on PC ever. Showing there’s some life in this dog yet!

As reported by Eurogamer, Red Dead Redemption 2 recently hit an all-time high in concurrent players on PC. At the time of writing, according to SteamDB, RDR2 hit an all-time peak of 66,492 concurrent players this week.

To put things into perspective, on its PC Steam launch of December 26^th, 2019, Red Dead Redemption 2 reached around 55,000 players. This isn’t bad considering that Rockstar Games has ceased major content support for the popular western.

Eurogamer puts the recent surge of players largely down to the recent Steam sales with a hefty 67% discount. However, RDR2 is also an amazing game, so there is that.

In my review of Red Dead Redemption 2, I said: “Rockstar Games has created another genre-defining game.” So, if you haven’t played this absolute classic, go by it now!
