In what is one of the worst kept secrets in gaming right now, ever since before the RE2 remake even released, there was enough rumblings to indicate that a remake for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis would follow.  Well, even with all the previous rumour and report articles, the clearest indication that it will be happening has just leaked, courtesy of some box art images.

There are three pieces of art leaked, two of which represent the western and eastern cover arts, and the other is for a “Z Version”, which is probably some form of Deluxe Edition.  Though I think it’s safe to assume that much like the RE2 remake, we will get another Collector’s Edition, hopefully with a figurine of Jill Valentine or the Nemesis itself.

The box art in question features a redesigned and quite bad-ass looking Jill Valentine, as well as Carlos Oliveira, a member of the U.B.C.S (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) and of course the intimidating Nemesis.

Given how awesome the RE2 remake was, with the added terror of Mr X stalking you constantly, the Nemesis should take the fear factor to another level in a RE3 remake.  While the original RE2 is my all-time favourite game, RE3 is a close favourite, not only with Jill and the Nemesis leading the charge, but the stalking Nemesis offered something different for its time and the game even included multiple choice segments.

Previous reports have stated that the RE3 remake will release as early as next year and with this box art seemingly being good to go, I think an announcement at The Game Awards next week on December 13th is very likely.  Are you as excited for this news as I am?  Let us know your thoughts across our social media channels and don’t forget to get practicing your best S.T.A.R.S impressions now!
