Capcom has announced an open beta for the multiplayer spin-off, Resident Evil Re: Verse.

At the end of January, a closed beta took place for Resident Evil Re: Verse, but now the beta will be open to all next month.

Resident Evil Re: Verse is said to be a celebration of the 25 years of the iconic survival horror series and will feature many heroes & villains of the franchise.

This multiplayer spin-off is a third-person shooter where players will begin as human characters from the series, taking each other down while collecting virus vials scattered throughout the map.

However, when a player is downed, they will return as a powerful bio-weapon to cause havoc for the remaining human players.

The more virus vials you collect as a human character, the stronger bio-weapon you will become later in the game.

The Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta will take place from April 7th/8th at 7am BST/11pm PDT/8am CEST and will end on April 11th/12th at 6:59am BST/10:59pm PDT/7:59am CEST.

If you already have the beta from the closed test, you can download the same file to participate in the open beta.  You will be able to pre-download the beta on April 5th.

It’s worth noting that you will have to link your Capcom ID with your platform of choice to take part in the open beta.

Resident Evil Re:Verse will come bundled as a free game with Resident Evil: Village on May 7th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
