Resident Evil Village Trailer Drops with New Demo Details
A new gameplay trailer for Resident Evil dropped this week during the series’ second showcase event as well as details on new gameplay demos.
Firstly, the new gameplay demo showcases brand new areas that we’ve not seen before such as the underground factory and we get a glimpse at a giant monster in the lake.
We also learn a little more about one of the other main villains in the game, Heisenberg and we’re teased once more of series veteran Chris Redfield’s motives in the game.
Additionally, details were also revealed for two Resident Evil Village playable demos. The first demo will be available first on PS4 and PS4 on April 17th in North America at 5pm PDT, and Europe on April 18th at 7pm CEST/6pm UK time.
This first demo will allow you to play in the Villa for 30 minutes, but once the demo goes live you’ll only have a mere 8 hours to play it.
The second demo which also releases first for PS4 and PS5 will allow you to play in the castle. The second demo will be available on April 24th at 5pm PDT in North America, and April 25th 7pm CEST/6 pm UK. As with the first demo, you’ll have 30 minutes to play the demo once it goes live.
I suppose to ensure that players get to play the demo before the 8 hour expiry time, you can pre-download the demos now so that you’re ready to go.
Finally, the third demo will combine both the village and castle locations for all platforms including PC, Xbox, Google Stadia, and PlayStation.
The third demo will be available in North America on May 1st at 5pm PDT and in Europe on May 2nd at 2am CEST/1am UK. You will also have 24 hours to play the third demo once it goes live.
Resident Evil Village will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia on May 7th.
