Rockstar Reportedly Cancelled GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption Remasters
Rockstar Games has reportedly cancelled GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption remasters.
Rumours of the remasters have been making the rounds for years, and it’s likely that they won’t be going away anytime soon. However, this news might disappoint a lot of fans.
The rumours are courtesy of Rockstar leaker Tez2. It is claimed that they were informed by sources that both remasters were in development a few years ago. If these rumours are true, there is some hope. Furthermore, according to a report from Kotaku, Rockstar Games made this decision to focus on the development of GTA 6.
As per a reliable source with clear accuracy on Rockstar plans, remasters of GTA IV & RDR1 were on the table a few years ago, but Rockstar chose not to proceed with the projects in mind.
The poor reception of the Trilogy DE might be a reason behind that decision.#GTAIV #RDR1

If handled well, remasters of Grand Theft Auto 4, as well as Red Dead Redemption, would be well received, despite the troubles of the GTA remastered trilogy. That being said, if these remasters were cancelled a few years ago, that’s not to say that they can’t or haven’t already been revived after being scrapped.
However, these rumours are unconfirmed and we can only speculate at this time. Do you think we’ll see remasters of GTA 4 and RDR? Let us know across our social media channels.
