Rockstar To Celebrate GTA 3 20th Anniversary, Sparks Remaster Rumours
Rockstar Games has revealed that they will have “fun surprises” in-store to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 3.
Along with GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas, rumours of a GTA 3 remastered has been circulating the internet for quite some time, but Rockstar’s recent teases have reignited those flames.
This week Rockstar Games also announced that the next-gen version of GTA 5 will arrive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 11th and with that announcement came the other announcement of the GTA 3 celebrations.
In a press release from Rockstar Games, the company said: “in honour of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre defining Grand Theft Auto III, we’ll have even more fun surprises to share – including some specifically for GTA Online players.”
Taking Rockstar’s words into account of “including” GTA 3 surprises for GTA Online, reading between the lines might suggest that they’ll be a GTA 3 reveal as well as one tied to GTA Online.
Obviously, this is mere speculation at this time, but we’ll keep you posted should we hear of any further information.
