Senscape’s Asylum Marks Important Progress With a New Demo

Asylum is easily one of the most anticipated titles by adventure and horror fans, and is a game that has been in development for quite a while now, and for good reason. Whilst Senscape might not have talked a lot about what was going on with the game for the past few years, their maintained focus and momentum showed results as it became the most successful project to be Kickstarted in Argentina, and recently caught the eye of Epic Games with their grant reserved for meaningful use of their propitiatory Unreal Engine. (Not to be mistaken for being an Epic Exclusive as the game will definitely release on Steam)

It definitely looks like fans won’t have to wait too long now, as the game is definitely on track for release, with a brand new demo that will be available for a limited time on steam from the 16th to the 22nd of June, as part of Steam’s Game Festival.

 

“Rumors of our deaths have not been exaggerated,” said director Agustín Cordes. “We have in fact become zombies during the production of this game”.

“I hope this was worth it,” said lead artist Pablo Forsolloza. “It’s nothing short of a miracle this game exists,” said lead programmer Agustín Delger.

“Please get us out of here,” said newcomers to the team Tais and Rocío Sztrum.

“Nobody expects the ASYLUM demo!” said the Spanish Inquisition.

 

Years after it was shut down due to a scandal regarding malpractice, the Hanwell Mental Institute reopens its doors, promising to undo its past reputation with revolutionary and humane new treatments. However, buried dark secrets soon rush out of the decaying walls, plunging players on a harrowing journey full of mind-bending twists and heart-stopping horror.

The game will feature unique puzzles, and is intended for mature audiences as it draws inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s atmospheric stories, the memorable Hammer Films gothic series, as well as twisted Euro Horror from the likes of Lucio Fulci.
