Silent Hill And Bloober Team Remake Rumours Resurface

Here we go again, the Silent Hill rumours have once again resurfaced. At this point, I’ve long become numb to such rumours.
For not the first time, rumours are making the rounds that Layers of Fear, Blair Witch and The Medium developers Bloober Team are creating a Silent Hill game. Especially as Konami confirmed a partnership between the two back in June of last year.
This is the stuff I’ve heard, and it comes from multiple different sources. Not all of my sources are primary, but everything is mostly lining up. However, if the recent rumours are anything to go by, Bloober Team will be remaking the iconic Silent Hill 2. A game considered to be one of the greatest of all time.
The rumours made the rounds by industry insider NateThe Hate, and then collaborated by Jeff Grubb. According to the rumours, this SH2 remake will be a timed PS5 exclusive. It will also apparently have reworked puzzles and new endings
That being said, while Bloober Team has made some decent horror games, nothing in my opinion has been all that excellent. They seem to be a team capable of something but often miss the mark. Personally, I don’t feel all that confident that they can do one of my all times favourite games the justice it deserves.

The rumours also back up previous stories that multiple Silent Hill games are in the works. Furthermore, the other games include a mainline story as well as new side stories. Additionally, it is claimed that at least one new Silent Hill game was set to be revealed at E3 this year before the event was cancelled.
I’m a big Silent Hill fan, but we’ve had many rumours, I can’t get excited by them. Especially as new rumours seem to resurface every other month. However, I will be ecstatic should we ever get an official announcement.
